The Chungbuk National University Medical Research Institute (CBUMRI) was established in 1994 by Chungbuk National University College of Medicine to promote and support basic and clinical medical researches on the causes and prevention of, and treatments for human diseases.

CBUMRI has held Gaeshin Annual Symposium on Medicine every year with Chungbuk National University College of Medicine and School of Medicine, and seminars constantly to provide cutting edge knowledge in medical science.
